There’s something about 49ers head coaches and their attire that recently has attracted the attention of Niner Nation.
So we arrive at an answer to what new coach Kyle Shanahan donned during his first action with the team, the 49ers’ preseason game Friday against the host Kansas City Chiefs.
Nothing to see here. Move along.
At least that’s what Shanahan’s outfit seemed to say, despite the coach likely not overthinking his game garb.
Shanahan donned black sweatpants and a black Niners golf shirt slipped over a long-sleeve grey shirt that he repeated rolled up Friday.
It’s easy to think the grey shirt kept climbing up his arm because the first-year coach is just that enthusiastic about the blue tablet/playbook he was holding. Regardless, he had a rugged and rigorous look about him.
Shanahan’s overall coaching is obviously more important than what he wears. But 49ers fans can’t help but notice the coach’s ensemble.
Not that it’s important but is wearing black on the sideline a mandate for 49er head coaches? Harbaugh, Tomsula, Kelly, now Shanahan.
