Who says being a royal is easy?

Many people are wondering if Pippa Middleton — or, if you’d like to refer to her by her royal title, Lady Glen Affric — has a job. Well, the answer is yes! The Duchess of Cambridge‘s younger sister is not only well educated — she studied English Literature at Edinburgh University — but she also makes her own living.

It turns out, English wasn’t just a subject Pippa studied in school because she has additionally held a variety of writing gigs since her college graduation. She also spends a lot of her time working for various charities.

What does Pippa do for a living?

After graduating from Edinburgh University, Pippa spent some time working in public relations promoting luxury goods while also serving as an event planner at Table Talks. But, those positions weren’t very long-lived, and she soon found herself editing the online magazine Party Times. She was later offered a $515,000 publishing deal for writing her own guide to throwing a fabulous party, but the book was unfortunately criticized because of its lack of original advice.

That setback didn’t stop Pippa from continuing to write professionally. She wrote for the British magazine The Spectator between 2012 and 2014 and even had a column for Vanity Fair in 2015. However, her real career took off when she later founded her company, PXM Enterprises Limited.

Which charities does Pippa support?

In addition to writing and running her company, Pippa is also a supporter of charities including the British Heart Foundation. In fact, a couple of years ago she rode in the London to Brighton Bike as a way to raise money for the organization. She’s recently been spending more of her time doing charity work since marrying James Matthews.

Does Pippa still write?

The newlywed’s career doesn’t surround writing like it used to, but she hasn’t abandoned it entirely. In 2016, she released her first cookbook, Heartfelt. The book contained a variety of recipes and all proceeds went to the British Heart Foundation.

“I heart family. My mother always says preparing a healthy and tasty meal for the family is one of life’s greatest pleasures — and pressures,” she wrote in the beginning of the “I Heart Family” chapter of her book. “With the many demands of family life, even the most enthusiastic cook can struggle to come up with new ideas week in week out and not rely on convenience foods to serve up a meal at the end of a long day.”

It looks like Pippa found a way to combine all of her passions after all!
