Cox’s Bazar, Chittagong – Job Context The key purpose of this position is to carry out the duties and responsibilities of Logistics & Procurement Officer to manage and control Logistic and Procurement activities of the project. She/he is responsible to support the project team in all manners relating to effective management of project logistic and procurement aspect of the project. At the same time, he/she must have the ability to fulfill reporting requirements of the organization, donors, and other financial institutions. Implement day-to-day Procurement and logistic support which accountable to NGOF and donor procurement policies, procedure and requirement NGO Forum are looking for a qualified individual to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the Improved WASH Services in Cox`s Bazar area. Job Description / Responsibility Summary of key functions: Project management for successful implementation through logistics services Vendor management & Comparative statement analysis Resources management Procurement management Procurement of different construction, water treatment and other materials for health care program Maintaining stock register, regular monitoring Preparation of requisition whenever available materials are below threshold level Store house maintenance and monitoring Collection of quotation, CS making, including bill summary and preparing other supporting documents with bills and vouchers. Conflict management, stress handling Maintaining a good liaison with LGI, beneficiary and host community, donors, different stakeholders and others. Providing additional support to project activities time to time Preparing weekly, monthly procurement plan Regular reporting on weekly, bi-weekly and monthly basis Perform other duties relevant to the project as required Ensure compliance with income Tax and VAT regulations, especially in term of salary, benefits, procurement of goods and services. Responsible for all procurement of goods and services under NGOF project on time purchasing and dispatching any material required by the project Job Nature Full-time Educational Requirements Preferably Master’s Degree in Business Studies, Marketing, Commerce or any relevant discipline (Professional Degree/ diploma in Supply may added value) Experience Requirements 5 to 7 year(s) The applicants should have experience in the following area(s): Office Management, Administration, Inventory/Store Management, Logistic Management * The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): NGO, Development Agency Job Requirements Age 30 to 40 year(s) The applicants should have job knowledge or experience in the following area(s): Procurement planning, Financial rules and regulation, Budget control, VAT and Tax related rules and regulation, Logistic and procurement Practical working experience in Logistic and Procurement at least 3 years. Experience in dealing with logistic activities. Good knowledge and understanding of financial planning, financial operation, financial rules and regulation, budget control, VAT and Tax Good command in budget control, forecasting quarterly expenditure and general administration. Good understanding of procurement related rules and regulation. Ability to take decision, to plan proactively without supervision & ability to optimize the use of available resources Good command in Tally will be considered as an added advantage.
