Fans have finally been given a first (moving) glimpse at Emily Blunt in the forthcoming Mary Poppins Returns, and our longstanding suspicions are confirmed: that casting the British actress as the magical nanny originated by Julie Andrews is practically perfect in every way.

At the D23 Expo in California, Disney aficionados were treated to footage from the new film which, as per E! News, showed Mary emerging from the clouds while children are flying their kites. Classic Poppins behavior, then. “She is also shown inside a house, pulling an umbrella out of a sink and appearing with flying objects,” E! added.

It’s surely only a matter of time before Disney releases this teaser to the general public, but in the meantime, we’re also been graced with a moving poster, showing the actress emerge from under an umbrella with characteristic Poppins poise.

Back in March, Disney gave us a first look at Emily in full Poppins mode, releasing an image showing the actress dressed in a dark blue coat and jaunty red hat (complete with a robin motif, surely a nod to “A Spoonful of Sugar”) with her hair swept up in Mary’s no-nonsense up-do. Carrying her signature carpet bag (which is doubtless filled with lampshades, mirrors and all manner of off-beat, outsized belongings), she was shown pausing outside a house on a leafy London street.

The sequel to the beloved 1964 film, which starred Julie Andrews in the title role, is set in the Depression-era London of the 1930s. Mary’s young charges Jane (played by Emily Mortimer) and Michael Banks (played by Ben Whishaw) have grown up with families of their own, with Michael and his three young children in particular need of Mary’s magic after a sad loss.

Joining Blunt is Hamilton creator and star Lin-Manuel Miranda, who will play a Burt-like singing lamplighter named Jack, and her Devil Wears Prada co-star Meryl Streep, playing Mary’s eccentric cousin Topsy. In a nostalgic call back to the original film, 91-year-old Dick Van Dyke will be popping up, too, while Colin Firth, Angela Lansbury, and Julie Walters are also on board.

Before you get too carried away with excitement, though, just remember that we’ll have to wait until Christmas 2018 (yes, nearly two years from now) to see Emily in all her supercalifragilisticexpialidocious glory. In the meantime though, there’s Guy Ritchie’s Aladdin, a Cruella DeVil origins story starring Oscar-winner Emma Stone and a live action Mulan

This story originally appeared on Grazia.
