Well, that’s one way to do dinner and a movie.

Instead of settling for concession popcorn or candy, one woman brought two Ziploc bags filled with spaghetti into the cinema. Her boyfriend called into a podcast called /Film to discuss her exploits, and — after some listeners expressed disbelief — host David Chen tweeted out photographic evidence, which has since gone viral.

An acquaintance of the mysterious spaghetti smuggler quickly replied on Twitter, with a screen shot of an exchange with the offending party. “I didn’t want to eat popcorn for dinner,” wrote the pasta lover. “And in my defense, it was double-bagged in case of ruptures.”

Some are calling the spaghetti girl a “hero” and others expressing disgust at slurping noodles mid-movie.

Others pointed out that bringing spaghetti to the movies has been done before, notably in an episode of “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.”

Then, there are spaghetti girl’s fellow food-sneakers, who consider portable pasta a novice move. They’ve responded to Chen’s tweet with tales of smuggling Thanksgiving leftovers or an entire cheesecake into screenings.

“These ppl act like they haven’t seen anyone bring outside food into a movie theater,” griped @annemariem1993. “I brought a porkchop in once and didn’t get famous smh.”
