The Buffy the Vampire Slayer star and the tragic funnyman played father and daughter on U.S. sitcom The Crazy Ones in 2013, and although the show lasted only one season, Robin made a huge impression on his co-star, which clearly lasts to this day.
On Friday (11Aug17), the 40-year-old posted a black and white throwback photo of the pair from the set, in which she sports a hat and a huge smile as Robin gazes dreamily into the distance.
She added the caption: “Robin, we keep you with us this through all the gifts you have left, of which there are many. So today, watch one of his movies, listen to his comedy specials or quote your favorite joke. You were a comedy genius, a phenomenal actor and a great friend. We miss you everyday, but today especially.”
Billy Crystal also paid tribute to his friend, tweeting: “3 years later and words still don’t come easily. Think of Robin today and smile.”
Robin committed suicide on 11 August, 2014 at his home in San Francisco, California.
